Stop Throwing Away Your Money on Bad Activities!- Introducing Game Of Throwings (HGI#1))

Ireland has too many bars, too many donut shops and definitely too many bloody escape rooms. Why cant there be something fresh for the Irish people to sink their teeth into? Now there is- check out the wonderful art of axe throwing.

‘Game of Throwings’ located in Smithfield Dublin 7 is the newest outside the box craze for anyone looking to enjoy a very rare sober Irish activity. In early May we headed down to find out what exactly did GOT have to offer and whether or not they hit the mark (pun absolutely intended).

From the moment we arrived the staff were on hand to show us the ropes and make our experience as enjoyable as possible. I am in no way what you would call a marksman, I am no Luke Littler, Phil Taylor and don’t even compare me to Legolas. However from the start the lads who were on the floor gave us a step by step guide on how to throw the axe correctly and most importantly safely.

This is not your run of the mill game of hit the bullseye, every station has an interactive projector with over twenty games to choose from; my personal favourite was the ‘Whack a Mole’.

Whether you’re looking for a fun date, a work event or just a day with the kids, ‘Game of Throwing’s’ ticks all the boxes. Prices for an hour slot work out at 24 euro per person so a group of four would be 96 euro with a 15% early bird booking fee available on their website.

Don’t fall into the boring trap of the same generic activities, get yourself down to Smithfield and throw an axe like there’s no tomorrow.
